Escape to the Calm of the Caribbean

Remember the campy Spring Break T-shirts,One tequila, two tequila, three tequila. Floor.
I may be paying homage to Panama City, FL circa 1992 today, but it’s still too early to tell.

According to the 2020 Amex Trendex, a trend report from American Express that came out yesterday, people miss travel so much that it’s taking an emotional toll and affecting their well-being. In fact, 78% of respondents said traveling is the number one activity they miss most and brings them the most calm.

Now, is it practical to drown our sorrows in a bottle of tequila or soak them and our head in the Caribbean calm of tomorrow?

I feel so grateful to live at the beach. There is nothing like submerging and soaking in the salty sea. It is an immediate attitude adjustment and so are these three tranquil escapes to forget about this year.

St. George’s, Grenada
Silversands Resort

Grenada is an island for the senses. Imagine filtered morning light softly awakening you to reveal pristine ocean views. Inhale the fresh ocean air and the pleasant aroma of tropical fruits and blooms accompanied by fragrant spices.  Grenada is a top exporter of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, ginger, bay leaves, and turmeric, earning it the nickname “Spice Island.”  Privacy and comfort are hallmarks of Silversands, making it the perfect sanctuary situated in this lush island paradise.  Equipped with the longest pool in the Caribbean and a number of beachfront and hillside villas with floor-to-ceiling windows, this property is appealing to every sense in every way. Peace.

Turks & Caicos
Amanyara

Henry David Thoreau once wrote, “The sea-shore is a sort of neutral ground, a most advantageous point from which to contemplate this world.” As someone who knew quite a bit about seclusion,  I am convinced if he had traveled to Turks & Caicos in his lifetime, he would not have been disappointed. Set on the shores of an 18,000 acre nature reserve, Amanyara, meaning peaceful place, is a luxurious resort built in perfect harmony with its stunning surroundings. A truly transformative retreat, you will be moved by the architecture of its timber pavilions overlooking reflective ponds and the shimmering sea. Snorkel or scuba to experience extraordinary reefs and marine life, embark on a wellness journey tailored to your needs, or simply unwind and enjoy the private pools, gardens, and pathways to the ocean. More Peace.

St. Lucia
Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

St. Lucia is a small island born of volcanic activity that stretches only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide, but it is packed with thrilling landscapes. It is comprised of volcanic beaches, impressive coral reefs, and a lush natural rainforest home to a variety of rare bird species and exotic plants. It is also home to the Gros and Petit Pitons, which are two volcanic spires near the town of Soufrière and named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated between the towering Pitons is Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort. Spread across 100 acres, seclusion and serenity are a staple at this stunning property. With gorgeous interiors featuring four-poster beds and luxurious bathtubs, the only thing better than being indoors is stepping out onto your private patio and plunge pool to take in majestic views of the towering Pitons and the azure Caribbean waters.

Peace, Comfort, and Tranquility.
