It’s been a full year since I had Covid ( on my birthday nonetheless) and nearly 365 days since the World Health Organization declared the novel coronavirus a global pandemic.
Since then, we’ve seen borders close, glorious cruising put on extended pause, and communities around the world struggle painfully with the powerful effects of under-tourism.
I’ve seen multiple sunrises and sunsets out plane windows, on Caribbean shores, in the Lowcountry of the May River at Montage Palmetto Bluff, at Disney Theme Parks, and on Club Med dance floors.
We’ve masked up and socially distanced but most importantly, we’ve seized the day we’ve been given.
I’m curious. Are you ready to travel again? A recent Virtuoso Travel Survey says YES!!!

When 1200 participants were asked if they felt more ready to travel in 2021 than they were in 2020, 82 percent of survey respondents said this year. Hurrah!
An overwhelming majority of respondents think they’ll travel this year, selecting spring and summer as their target departure. This is a combination of pent up demand and confidence that safety precautions are in place, not only that it’s TIME.
Another big takeaway: Survey responders over the age of 56 were the most eager to get back out there, with 89 percent of them stating they’re more ready to travel in 2021. This group realizes they need to travel while they still can and take their bucket list most seriously.
But the pandemic has put so much into perspective for all of us.
Travelers do NOT want to put off tomorrow that they can do today.
As you and I dive back into traveling, MY biggest advice remains the same: Work with THIS Virtuoso advisor to make sure every aspect of that extra-special, much-anticipated vacation is well taken care of.

So happy to celebrate another year of sunrises and sunsets and I look forward to helping you plan your day in the sun.
