If you haven’t heard it already, you are free to move about the cabin and breathe oxygen again.
Opinions may be plenty on this matter but it moves us one step closer to travels’ comeback and for that I rejoice. Next step, to rescind the return testing order so we all can breathe easy with our vacation investment.
As a member of Virtuoso’s Family and Adventure travel, I get all shapes and sizes of travel inquiries. One resounding question is how do you have a vacation for you, your children, and experience the culture?
I am here to tall you that despite its reputation, an all-inclusive can give macro-doses of each…if you are willing to take the shot…and get off property too!

All-inclusive resorts set the bar high when it comes to traveling in the Caribbean. With airfare, accommodations, food, drinks, entertainment and taxes all rolled into one price, you rarely walk away from a vacation surprised by the final bill.
But budgeting isn’t the only reason you should book all-inclusive.
Before you stop reading….TRUST ME.
The adventurous types ( like myself) may prefer to go it alone.
An-inclusive resorts provide guests with (almost) everything they need, from meals to bars to beaches. A Savvy travelers looking for more of a challenge may not like it.
Booking an all-inclusive can take away a lot of the spontaneity and serendipity of a vacation … the ability to go off and find a unique restaurant or beach or meet a local artisan. Or trying and failing and ultimately succeeding in learning a bit of the local language or mastering public transport. These are often the most memorable parts of a trip which is why I recommend getting off property once or twice.
For you first-time travelers, all-inclusive options for security and predictability are a great choice:
Let me count the ways….

1. Your mood stays calm when you are not paying for every indulgence.
Pulling out your wallet over and over triggers the same part of the brain associated with pain and nausea. If the only thing you actually have to pay for once you arrive is a spa visit or excursion, you can enjoy yourself without fearing your fees are creeping too high.

3. The kids programs! Kid-free, unencumbered hours during the day to enjoy all the fabulous amenities, fun activities, or simply indulge in a nap by the pool and reap the benefits of YOUR vacation is a must. Club Med, Beaches, Palace Resorts, just to name a few give you the opportunity to have a couples dinner or a solo soak in the saltwater.

4 The price often includes transfers to and from the airport. Without this luxury, you’d be flagging down a street taxi and negotiating a rate to your destination. And if you’re trying to do the math on dollars-to-pesos, the exchange rate may be decided by your driver on the fly. And we are in the business of saving money not wasting…We are about enjoying the view.

5. Poolside and evening entertainment are just steps from your room. The variety of events on schedule at all-inclusive resorts is impressive, giving guests little reason to even leave campus for activities in the city. Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun hosts a Mexican night and fire show, contests and theme parties like Casino Night. Club Med’s have basketball courts, tennis courts, dance classes, Spanish classes, billiards and all of them host live nightly shows and of course dancing!!!
